Town Anniversary 2017

In 2017 our town hosted an exciting year full of events. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the 50th Matjeswochen (Matjes season festitivities) in June. In addition, there was a colourful and multifaceted programme including exhibitions, concerts, art installations, readings, sport events, etc.

There is much to explore since numerous locations and monuments still tell the story of the crucial events and defining moments in our town’s 400-year history.
